Mission Statement
 |
Prof. Christoph Rellstab
Dipl. Ing. HTL
Head of Higher Technical Schools HF Wood Biel |
We train the specialists of the future. We encourage our trainees to develop their specialist skills and knowledge today and into the future. Flexibility is the keyword. Our students benefit from the experience and expertise of the teaching staff and from a well-equipped, modern training facility. Moreover everyone has direct access to the Research and Development division belonging to the Bern University of Applied Sciences. Our good contacts with professional associations, representative bodies and political and industrial organisations are meaningful for expanding our range of advanced and continuing education courses.
The graduates of the Higher Technical Schools HF Wood Biel go on to take up middle and executive management positions in all sectors of the wood industry. They have the broad outlook needed to support informed management decisions. Training includes a good general background education, specialist knowledge and management skills. A multi-disciplinary approach, integrated course components and placement periods in the wood industry all ensure that our courses have a high level of practical relevance.
