Civil Engineering – an activity with a future

Mission Statement

Prof. Dr. Markus Romani Dr. Dipl. Ing.
Head of the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering course |

The Bachelor of Civil Engineering division has charted its course into the future. The Bologna process has introduced new teaching and learning methods designed to prepare our students for the complexities of professional life in a modern world. This is why our undergraduates are encouraged to take an active, responsible role in the multidisciplinary processes of civil engineering, right from day one in the first term. The course design includes customised modules such as “preservation of monuments”, “multidisciplinary design of structures” and “mechanisms and psychology of power and leadership”. We give our undergraduates the in-depth knowledge and understanding needed to succeed in their future professions.
